Wow - everyone loves a flannel rag quilt. You can hear them exclaim -- Oh it's so SOFT !!!
They come in a lot of different styles and colors --- endless possibilities.
Like this lighthouse one, incorporating the recipient's college Alma Mater colors.
![]() This one was made to help the special needs of a child learn his shapes, numbers, and colors. He rides horses as part of his therapy, so the "redwork horses" are embroideried on the quilt for added interest. This next quilt is made especially for babies and can be personalized. Same wonderful softness and beautiful colors. Other comments are: "They are so soft, they feel warm, but in the summer they are just right". ![]()

Here's another idea for the long distant traveler. Flannel rag-quilt, twin bed size folded small enough to fit into a pillow case. The pillow case has loops on one side, to attach the removable strap, and a zippered inside pocket. One could use the blanket that is folded inside on that long airplane ride. Stuff one of those pillows the airline provides and ready for that long trip. Arrive at your destination, fold up the blanket, attached the strap, sling it over your shoulder and off you go. Handy inside pocket, not only hold the strap when not in use, but perhaps your airplane tickets, some spare cash, or whatever you need to keep handy. This pillow case is made from flannel and coordinates with the blanket with musical notes all over it. Keeping with the theme of the quilt.

Flannel rag quilts also have infinite possibilities. Based around a favorite color. Is it for man or woman? Boy or girl? Is the girl a girly girl or more into sports or animals? I did one for a veternarian (that saved our dogs life) in all dogs and cats. It was very unique - a special quilt for a special man. A guy that spends many an hour at his clinic. Many of my students have made them for grandbabies, even king size quilts for their own beds or their children's. Doesn't matter who, they are always a welcome gift. Young or mature kids or adults love 'em. Bed size quilts or throws start at $200, custom made in style and color for your special person. They can even be personalized with your special message. |

Here's one more example of a twin size flannel quilt. This one is for a guy who loves sports. Hmm..m.m what guy doesn't. He loved the one made for his granddaughter (above) and was wishing he had one too. Who wouldn't like one on his living room couch to crash after a hard day at work. By the look on his face, one could conclude he is enjoying his flannel quilt.
