Special Gifts for Special Needs

The aprons created above were for the mens use while eating.  Aprons is the less offensive, appropriate term, for adults, or so my son tells me.  Making decorative aprons encourages them to want to wear them.  Eric's apron was his request because he works for Burger King.  He told me that it would have been better if there had been added a drink as that would have made it a "full value meal".

The excitement and gratitude was priceless from Eric, but a day later I received a thank you letter from him.  He was just as proud of the thank you letter as the apron.  All the guys in my son's group home have some type of brain injury and they all are so very special.  It's a true pleasure to know every one of them.  Embroidered aprons start at $50 each.

Letter from Eric

Dear Mrs. Overton,

I would like to give a sincere thanks for the embroidered Burger King apron you gave me on the 15th of January.  I guess this is the only way  for me to pay for the hard work that you did and plus all the material, sorry it's not by cash.  Every time I wear it I will think of all the hard work that you did.  I can't stop wearing it though, no offense. I hope your not offended.

Sincerely,
Eric

And what about all those things every person needs to cart around while driving his/her wheelchair.  So the wheelchair backpack made especially for "drivers" to get into easily, and of course custom created for their particular likes.  This person likes wolves, can you tell?  Wheel chair "backpacks" start at $50.  They are made from nylon and are very durable and washable.
